Jacqueline looked around the store, her eyes gazing over the candy. Rows upon rows of shelves lined the floor, stocked fulled with a multitude of candy. If that wasn't enough, other shelves climbed up the walls, carrying the weight of glass jars of bright sweets. From the rafters hung more strings of candy, licorice rope, candy necklaces, and other unnameable things. The smell of sugar was almost overpowering, and Jack wrinkled in nose as she passed a display of Blood Suckers.
Quickly making her way past them Jack picked her way through the crowd of hyper patrons. Pushing through a group of sticky-fingered fifth years that lingered suspiciously near a stack of chocolate frogs. Finally, Jacqueline reached her destination.
A glass case, gold painted shelves baring silver trays filled with, in Jack's opinion, the best of all candies. Truffles. Cold blue eyes scanned the line of trays, searching for her favourites. There. On in top corner. Ice win truffles. Smiling Jacqueline gesture to the girl behind the counter. First pointing the the truffles, then holding up 4 fingers. Waiting as the worker packaged them up Jackie looked around for anyone she knew.

Ray walked into the shop feeling bored. He scanned the shelves but couldnt find anything he liked. There was a girl standing in the corner. 'Hi,' He called to her

Jack took the carefully wrapped package from the girl. Pulling the bow apart, Jackie wrapped the ribbon around her fist, digging around in the gold foil bag for a candy. Hearing a voice addressing her, Jacqueline stopped, and turn. Oh. Just a Gryffindor. Rolling her eyes, Jackie smirked. "Yes?" She asked sweetly, watching the boy.

'Just thought of saying Hi,' Ray said. 'I am Ray Wells by the way,'

"Oh. Well, hi then." Jackie replied softly, unsure what to do. Most Gryffindors ignored her, and when they did talk to her, it was mostly insults. Actually, Jack mused with a smirk, that was true to all the houses but her own. Whatever. "Ray, huh? I'm Jacqueline Nott." Looking over the boy, Jack guessed him to be around the same age as her, and possibly the same year, though she wasn't positive.

Ray's eyebrows shot up at the sound of Nott. But he was related to Goyle after all. He didnt say anything. He said, 'Its a pleasure to meet you Jacqueline'

Jacqueline watched his eyebrows shoot up, and she smirked. "Oh, is something wrong?" She asked softly. Taking a tiny nibble out of her candy, Jackie smiled at the taste. Mmm. "So, ah, what are you doing in here? You don't have any candy yet."

Ray smiled. 'Oh nothing is wrong at all. I was just wondering around,' He said

"Oh. Alright then." Jacqueline sighed inwardly, frowning slightly. How in the world was she supposed to make pleasant conversation with a Gyriffindor? Did she even want to try? Rolling her eyes slightly, Jackie busied herself by tying up the package of of chocolate again, stuffing them back into her bag. Smoothing down her skirt, Jackie looked up again at the boy. "Try some of the chocolates, I suppose. They're pretty good."

Ray laughed. 'Well I was thinking along the lines. Try a Coackratch Cluster but I dont think those chocolates would be too bad,' He said grinning

Jack wrinkled her nose at the thought. Bugs? As bloody if. "No thanks, but your free to try them." Glancing around the shop Jacqueline wonder idly what the easiest way to get out of this situation would be. Smoke bomb? Too dramatic, and they smelt disgusting. Invisibility charm? Very finicky and too hard to work with.

Ray smiled. 'Well no. They have a special stipulation. They can only be eaten by Slytherins,' He said grinning. 'Bugs somehow matches with Slytherins. I havent figured out how though,' He added

Hearing his words Jacqueline rolled her eyes, giving a soft sigh of exasperation. "Whatever." Tugging her cloak around her shoulders and fastening it just below her neck, Jack turned making her way past Ray. "I should really gone, and you know, wash my hair or file my nails. Or something equally exciting as this. Bye."
