Sam walked up to the owlery alone. She had skinny jeans, a t-shirt and a simple grey hoodie on. She had come to check if her parents had replied to her letter about the order yet. As she was walking in she thought she heard someone behind her so she turned around.

"Oh! Watch it!" Jacqueline snapped automatically as she collided into some one's back. Realizing that she had been the cause of the accident she quickly mumbled out an apology. "Sorry 'bout that." Glancing down Jack brushed a wrinkle out of her skirt. She was wearing her green and black school skirt, but had paired it with an black cowl-necked sweater, that gaped at a risque level. Looking up at the girl Jack sighed, Honestly, this school was infested with Gyrffiindors.

Sam smiled at the girl when she apologised. "It's 'k" she said, then held a hand out to the girl. "I'm sam.. I don't think we've met before."

Laniee had a letter that needed posting to her mother, letting her know how she was, what was happening at school, pretty much her whole life for the past week, excluding anything about Al. Stepping through the door, she overheard her cousin, and best friend, Jack, apologising to who she now saw was some Gryffindor. "Uh, Jack?" Sne said, announcing her arrival. "Since when do we need to apologise to Gryffindors? I'm sure she's just clumsy." Narrowing her eyes at the girl, Laniee smirked, folding her arms.

Jack looked down at the hand with distaste, her lips pursing ever so slightly. "Jacqueline." She replied, "And yes, we have. We had that...lovely encounter at the Three Broomsticks." She smirked slightly, "Of course Lanica, dear. I didn't see who it was until afterwards." Jack smiled, Laniee was the perfect pair for her, just the perfect combination. "So, another letter for Aunt Astoria?" She asked with raised brows, glancing down at the envelope in her cousins' hands.

Still glaring at the Gryffindor, Laniee nodded. "Why of course," her gaze now found Jack. "You know how Mother dearest needs and update at least once a week. She's a bit crazy these days." Laughing akwwardly, she spotted her large and white owl, and beckoned her down, attatching the letter to her leg and walking to the window. "What are you...two...doing here?" The girl soon asked, with her back to them, wtaching her owl fly away until she was a dot over the horizon.

Sam ignored their comments. "I'm expecting a letter" she said shortly, not intimidated by them at all. They were both a year younger than her anyway.

Ray hugged her back. 'I came to drop a letter,' He said eyeing the other two suspiciously. He quickly took a letter from his jacket and gave it to his owl. 'Find him,' he whispered

Sam watched the owl leave, still hugging Ray. "Who's that letter to" she said quietly, so Jack and Laniee couldn't hear.

The Gyriffindor girl seemed to be dumbstruck and kept silent, and Jack snickered softly. She turned her head to her cousin and listened with a small smirk. "Oh, Luckily for me, Mother dearest in off gallivanting in Paris with her newest..friend." Daphne was legendary for her flightiness, and the affairs she was constantly having. What had always shocked Jacqueline was how her father didn't seem to mind or care. At least, it had until she walked in on him and some redhead in a very compromising position.
Jack held up a thick envelope in response to Laniee's question. "Daddy asked if there was anything I wanted for Christmas, I had to send him my wish list." Jackie laughed and winked playfully. The parchment was actually lined with ink, telling about the interesting encounter she had had in the Three Broomsticks. Jacqueline decided she would tell Laniee later, when they didn't have company. Especially when he walked in.
He was everywhere. Jack gave a sigh, a mix of exasperation and disgust. First Ray had introduced himself in Honeydukes, and then at the Three Broomsticks he had followed her out of the pub, and know here.

Sighing when Jack told her of her Aunt's latest adventure, Lanie walked over and placed a hand on her shoulder for a moment, before placing it in her jeans pocket. "That's too bad." She muttered, adding, "at least you'll get some cool stuff from Paris." Laniee smiled politely to her friend, before she held up a thick envelope and caused Laniee to burst into a fit of laughter. "Gosh, Jack, I knew you had expensive taste, but that is ridiculous." After a few more moments of laughter, her attention was taken away.
Another Gryffindor had entered the Owlery. "I swear this place is overly infested with them.." She rolled her eyes as the two Gryffindors embraced and started a conversation.

"Well of course, what do you think is in my letter?" Jack teased with a smile, searching for her owl. Spotting it she clicked her tongue lightly. The barn owl glanced around, it's sharp eyes searching for the source of the noise. As it landed on Jacqueline's outstretched arm she cooed softly. "Sorrel, baby." She murmured, quickly tying the letter on with her free hand. Shaking her arm slightly Sorrel took off, soaring out through the open window.
Jack frowned, glancing down at her sweater. A scattering or feathers marred the black wool, and Sorrel's talon had dug into the pattern. "That not all that was in the letter though." Jack replied softly, her tone meaningful.
"Like rats, all over the place and smelly." Jackie agreed, rolling her eyes.

Laniee watch jack send her owl off, listening when she spoke. "Ohhh..." Laniee now looked away at the owls above them, she suspected she needed to talk to her friend alone... 'We'll talk later?' She smiled, now looking at Jack again.
